2011 Draught and Famine in Maasailand (Kenya, Africa)

Maasai Peoples Sharing Their Life Experiences

10, August, 2011
Dear Mama,

I would like to say thank you for the money you sent to me. I received 27,720 Kenya money. I went home on Saturday and my parents were so much happy not only them alone but the community too. I managed to buy maize, maize, beans and cooking oil. Many my neighbours have also had one day meal because my parents share them. I took some food to the place where my father migrated to and this made my father's friend to decide to take his girls to school. This made people in my area to know that something good can come out of me. They are now getting to see the importance of educating girls. I got the photos of some of my family members because others have migrated. I will send to you GOD willing next week.

My father, mother, step mothers and my siblings have appreciated your great support, this is true love you have to us. They wish to greet you but they don't know english neither can they wright. They are longing to see you at our home. Gabriel is fine and have grown big and can walk. I think you will not believe when you see his photo.

Thank you mum and God bless you.

Dear Nosim:

Ashe oleng, greetings from Maasailand. I give thanks to our Heavenly Father for giving me the opportunity to communicate with you. I salute and honor you for the good work you are doing, remembering the poor and needy people of Maasailand and beyond. May our Lord grant you generous people to support and provide opportunity through education.

The drought has become a disaster here in Kenya, mostly affecting pastorlist who are overlooked by the government.

The Maasai people have a saying which says; "keyau ekoshoke osotu”"which means; "food brings peace".

Thank you for bringing peace to the Maasai.

Mary

"GOD is with us, the land is so dry, these people waits for anybody who can end their Agony. We were there, we saw it, and we bring it to you very soon, Maasai land and no more cattle's all gone. Lively hood reduced to the ground."

Nosim relays on Team Nosim in Kenya:

THIS IS THE DAY THE LORD HAS MADE. Team Nosim Kenya delivered food to 500 at Ole Ki Munke yesterday. WAY TO GO TEAM! Esther M has identified a few other villages that are even worse off, and Ole Ki Munke was a serious situation we got there just in time.

Our wonderful team Director Esther has identified some other areas that are even worse.

GO TEAM USA - BRING IN THOSE $ TO SAVE LIVES. GOD IS ON OUR SIDE
