The Starfish Story

There was once a young girl who was walking along the seashore with her Father.
There were thousands of starfish who had been beached and were dying.

As the young girl walked along, every once in a while, she would reach down, pick up a starfish and throw it back into the ocean.

Her Father remarked: "Why are you throwing that starfish back, there are thousands of them and you can't possibly save them all."

The little girl reached down, picked up another starfish and threw it into the ocean
as she turned to her father, she said "I just saved that one".

For 50 cents a day, you can save 1 child.

The delightful children that you see here, live in the slums of Ngong, a suburb of Nairobi, Kenya.


The children came to the attention of our Ngong Methodist church when a teacher from the public school reported to Pastor Julius, that some of the children were passing out during school, from lack of food.

There are 45 children in our program, and we can feed them a nutritional meal for 50 cents per child, or $15.00 a month.

For 50 cents a day, you can save one child.
